David Bond
Brexit Editor, Financial Times

David is an experienced senior journalist and broadcaster who has worked as an editor and correspondent at the top of the UK national media for the last two decades.
He was appointed Brexit Editor at the Financial Times last summer having previously worked as the FT’s Security & Defence Editor, covering government policy on cyber security. Prior to that he was the FT’s European Media Correspondent.
Before joining the FT, David led BBC News’ on-air coverage of major sports stories as Sports Editor, including the London 2012 Olympics, the 2010 South Africa World Cup and the Fifa corruption scandal. This was the culmination of 15 years as a sports journalist which also covered periods with the Telegraph, The Sunday Times and the Evening Standard.
