Mike Darcey has an extensive background in television, publishing and telecoms and undertakes a series of non-executive roles alongside strategy advisory services in these sectors.
Mike is currently Chairman of M247, the connectivity and cloud services business, as well as Chairman of British Gymnastics. He is also a board director for Sky New Zealand and for Arqiva and is a Senior Strategy Adviser to the MTM consulting practice.
Before turning to plural life, Mike was (from 2013 to 2015) CEO of News International, publishers of The Times, Sunday Times and Sun newspapers. Prior to this, Mike spent 15 years at Sky, initially as Director of Strategy, then as Chief Operating Officer. Mike played a prominent role in most of Sky’s major strategic decisions and its commercial and regulatory dealings during this period. This included the acquisition of major sports broadcast rights including the Premier League, Champions League and Formula One.
