We have now concluded our consultation on amending our rules on creating slots for PSB channels, and allocating LCNs to IP-delivered channels from Freeview Play Core Players.
On creating slots for PSB channels, we have decided to implement the proposed changes, but we have clarified the wording in line with respondents' suggestions.
On allocating LCNs to IP-delivered channels, we have decided to implement the proposed changes.
The revised LCN Policy (v7.1) is effective immediately.
If Ofcom determines that BBC Three can return as a broadcast linear channel, and existing channels are required to move to give effect to Ofcom's prominence requirements, then we will write to all affected channels to give them at least eight week's notice.
