Eric Mitchell
Eric leads on all financial, legal and corporate governance matters at Everyone TV and Freeview, and plays a key role in ensuring the continued growth of the Freeview and Freesat platforms.
During 15 years at Digital UK (now Everyone TV), Eric has been instrumental in multiple commercial deals and agreements, most recently the merger with Freesat and welcoming Channel 5 to the PSB joint venture.
In 2018 Eric helped to negotiate the £125 million investment from Freeview’s shareholders to secure the future of free-to-air TV in the UK. The agreement allowed Freeview to launch on mobile, furthering its evolution into a fully hybrid platform.
He has also played an important part in securing Freeview Play’s contracts with manufacturers and content providers to ensure that it continues to serve all parties and deliver the best possible viewer experience.
Eric is a chartered accountant and, prior to joining Everyone TV, he worked for independent accountancy firms within the music and entertainment sector.
